Implant Treatment

Implants are implanted in the jawbone to replace lost teeth. These implants operate as an artificial tooth root to support the prosthetic teeth that will be placed. Implants are used for a variety of purposes. Implants are employed in certain circumstances when molars have been lost and the posterior side of the mouth is toothless, when there are large toothless areas in the mouth, and when the lower or upper jaw has no teeth. Titanium screws are used as implants. The dental prosthesis will be inserted in particular places on the top half of these screws. The surrounding teeth are not harmed during the implant procedure. There is no need to remove or decrease the neighboring teeth in this fashion.

Dental implants are made of titanium, which has no negative effects on people. In this regard, a circumstance like the body rejecting the implant is unusual unless there is a good cause for it. A single tooth in implant therapy is made up of three distinct components. A titanium screw is inserted into the jawbone, followed by an abutment to which the tooth will be attached, and a crown, or work prosthesis.

In order to treat implants, local anaesthetic is needed. The procedure takes 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the quantity of implants. The implant takes 3 to 6 months to fuse with the jawbone after the initial screw is put. Patients are fitted with temporary prostheses in the meanwhile. The procedure is completed with the insertion of a permanent prosthesis when the patient has recovered.
